Be a Rock 2022 Wrap-up

Our “Be a Rock in a Child’s Life” fundraiser events have looked different in years past, so we’ve heard. With half of our staff being onboarded during COVID, we didn’t have much to go on. But from the feedback we have heard, the event space, food & drinks, pace and vibe was exactly what we all wanted, and needed, after hibernating for so long without seeing each other’s beautiful faces!

Thursday March 3 was our long-awaited celebration of the Faithful Friends family, able to once again get together in the same physical space to support the life-changing work of mentorship.

Hosted at Door of Hope Southeast, our founding church, attendance showed 109 happy souls who came for mingle time while mentors/musicians Luke & Rachael Price entertained us before heading to the pews for an opening prayer by Josh White, a State of the Union speech of our own by Executive Director Brianna Woods, then a live auction with golden tickets and last man standing excitement deftly delivered by auctioneer Patrick Siver. We had an amazing volunteer crew helping to keep the food warm and dishes bussed and drinks served and people checked in and out and running tech. So blessed by all of you!

About $126,000 has been raised!
