Laika Studio Tour

Matches will have the opportunity to come along for a tour of LAIKA Studios! LAIKA is an award-winning feature film animation studio known for films like Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings. LAIKA was founded in Oregon in 2005. We are honored to be invited to tour the studio and see all the work that goes into these films behind the scenes. We have limited space for this tour. Please reach out to a program staff if you plan to attend with your mentee. We are hoping to have more LAIKA tours available in the future. This opportunity is on a first come first serve basis.

Hard Hat Tour

Willamette Technical Fabricators (wtfllc.com) is partnering with our child mentorship mission to provide an educational and career-oriented experience for up to 10 mentees to learn about manufacturing! With offices in St Johns and Vancouver, they make HUGE parts (football field huge) for bridges, dams and other projects. Visitors of all ages can try out Augmented Reality welding and get a hands-on experience of what it's like to work there! These careers are rewarding and the pay is great! RSVP By JAN 19th.

Our new connection with [Cognizart] has given our mentees and mentors the incredible opportunity to go backstage at the Keller Auditorium and see a full dress rehearsal of The Nutcracker. Thank you Cognizart!

Those attending, please arrive by 6:15pm to recieve your tickets from Shannon and start the backstage tour before the dress rehearsal begins. Pay to park on the street or in the lots.

Motoring for Mentors

We are excited to host this first of several upcoming car shows as we look to gather some great non-profits we know all focused on helping children in our community through mentoring. Oaks Park

**ALL RIDE BRACELET SALES & RSVPS DUE BY AUG 8, 9PM**

Mentors, mentees and Faithful Friends staff will gather once again at Oaks Park in southeast Portland for a fun day enjoying our historical theme park.

Please also join us for lunch! We will provide hot dogs, chips, lemonade, snacks, and dessert. Food and ride bracelets will be available 12-3 in the picnic area #5. You are welcome to stay in the park area for as long as you like. Ride bracelets are good until the park closes at 9:00pm.

Parking: There will be a $5 charge for parking- new this year (not included in the $10). This is a separate charge for EACH vehicle.
