Chick-fil-A Day & Night
If you are a mentor or mentee, you are invited to Chick-fil-A for food and fun! In the evening from 5-8pm we’re also partnering with Chick-fil-A to receive 15% of mobile app orders!
Mentor Social Hour!
Come join us for food and fellowship with other mentors out there doing the same thing you are! This will be a potluck style dinner. If you would like to bring something, contact Cia for the sign up sheet. Bringing a dish is not required. Your presence is enough for us! This event will be held at Tim’s house.

Cognizart's 30th Young Artists Debut backstage and concert experience
Come enjoy a backstage expereince and watch an incredible group of young classical musicians perform at the Reser in Beaverton! (Must RSVP with Cia by Friday May 10th to attend.)
Easter at Echo Ranch
Join us for some fun out on the ranch! Be ready for crafts, an Easter egg hunt and horses!
Laika Studio Tour
Matches will have the opportunity to come along for a tour of LAIKA Studios! LAIKA is an award-winning feature film animation studio known for films like Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings. LAIKA was founded in Oregon in 2005. We are honored to be invited to tour the studio and see all the work that goes into these films behind the scenes. We have limited space for this tour. Please reach out to a program staff if you plan to attend with your mentee. We are hoping to have more LAIKA tours available in the future. This opportunity is on a first come first serve basis.
Be a Rock 2024
Be a Rock in a Child’s Life is our annual fundraiser auction. We will be reaching out to table sponsors who will purchase tickets and fill their tables, while we gather donated auction items to be sold online and in person.

Hard Hat Tour
Willamette Technical Fabricators (wtfllc.com) is partnering with our child mentorship mission to provide an educational and career-oriented experience for up to 10 mentees to learn about manufacturing! With offices in St Johns and Vancouver, they make HUGE parts (football field huge) for bridges, dams and other projects. Visitors of all ages can try out Augmented Reality welding and get a hands-on experience of what it's like to work there! These careers are rewarding and the pay is great! RSVP By JAN 19th.
Mentor Appreciation
Each year in January we bring together our entire mentoring community to celebrate the joys and challenges of this important, life-changing work. Door of Hope Northeast will once again host our brunch activity.
Info Session
Each month we offer a zoom-based 2-hour session to talk about opportunities to mentor. Get to know what it looks like to get involved with Faithful Friends as a mentor, or just learn more about who we are and what we do. Sign up on our Get Involved page.
Christmas Crafts and Cookie Decorating
Mentors and Mentees join us at Braking Cycles for an evening of Christmas crafts, games, and of course cookie decorating! Please let a Faithful Friends staff know that you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly.
The Nutcracker Dress Rehearsal

Our new connection with [Cognizart] has given our mentees and mentors the incredible opportunity to go backstage at the Keller Auditorium and see a full dress rehearsal of The Nutcracker. Thank you Cognizart!
Those attending, please arrive by 6:15pm to recieve your tickets from Shannon and start the backstage tour before the dress rehearsal begins. Pay to park on the street or in the lots.
Friendsgiving (for Mentors)
We’re inviting our mentors (and spouses) to enjoy a potluck meal together at Tim Cowley’s home. We are reaching out via GroupMe and emails, but if you’re a mentor and you haven’t heard about this opportunity let us know if you’d like to come.
Bowl-a-Thon 2023
Get ready to join us on Saturday, October 21st as we meet again at Superplay in Beaverton for our annual Bowl-a-Thon event! We'll be meeting from 10-12 for our first session, then 1-3pm for our second session. Come ready to enjoy some bowling, food and drinks and lazer-tag while supporting Faithful Friends! Motoring for Mentors
Come enjoy the last bits of summer as we gather around some really fun cars! We are excited to host this first of several upcoming car shows as we look to gather some great non-profits we know all focused on helping children in our community through mentoring. Info about Faithful Friends (and other groups) will be on hand as well as a 50/50 raffle and more! Contact our Executive Director and car show lover, Al Nodarse, at 503-908-4480 with any questions.
Oaks Park
**ALL RIDE BRACELET SALES & RSVPS DUE BY AUG 8, 9PM**
Mentors, mentees and Faithful Friends staff will gather once again at Oaks Park in southeast Portland for a fun day enjoying our historical theme park.
Please also join us for lunch! We will provide hot dogs, chips, lemonade, snacks, and dessert. Food and ride bracelets will be available 12-3 in the picnic area #5. You are welcome to stay in the park area for as long as you like. Ride bracelets are good until the park closes at 9:00pm.
Parking: There will be a $5 charge for parking- new this year (not included in the $10). This is a separate charge for EACH vehicle.
Chick-fil-A Eat & Greet
Head on over to the Raleigh Hills Chick-fil-A on June 29th between 2-5pm for a free meal! RSVP by June 15. Open to mentor, mentees, staff & families of the same.
Chick-fil-A Mobile Spirit Night
