Meet the Program Team

As we have merged with Braking Cycles, we are happy to share the teams have merged as well. Meet the new and blended team!

    Chon is a Portland native, graduating from Grant High School and earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon. Before joining the team at Faithful Friends, he spent 24 years mentoring youth through the Friends of the Children program. Chon is honored to be a part of the Faithful Friends team where he can continue to see the transformational work of mentoring in children’s lives. He is a husband, father of 3 daughters and a lover of people. In his free time Chon enjoys traveling, working out, watching sports, hanging out with friends/family and eating good food.

    Grace began her journey with Faithful Friends as a mentor, and after experiencing the impact and value of the program, she became fully invested in the organization. Today, Grace and her family continue to mentor an amazing child through Faithful Friends.

    The greatest joy in Grace's life is her family. She is married to Drew Dyck and is the proud mother of three wonderful children: Athanasius (13), Mary (10), and Sophia (6).

    Although Grace grew up in Oregon, much of her adult life has been spent in various parts of the country, including California, Florida, and Illinois. In her 20s, she worked at several Christian colleges before taking a decade-long break from the workforce to focus on raising her children. Now back in the Pacific Northwest, Grace is thrilled to be home again. She holds a BA in Art and English from Portland State University and, during the pandemic, decided to return to school, earning an MBA in 2022.

    When she has free time, Grace enjoys cooking, reading, watercolor painting, watching international spy thrillers, and finding rest in God’s beautiful creation.
