Braking Cycles

This past week we hosted a fall event for mentors & mentees at Braking Cycles, a nonprofit coffee and bike shop community partner in Southeast Portland.

Nine mentor and mentee pairs (18 mentor/mentees, 23 total including staff) attended and participated in cookie decorating, hot chocolate drinking, and fall-themed craft making. They especially loved stacking candy and sprinkles on top of their cookies.

Mentees spent fun time with their mentors, and were able to meet other children around their age and play with one another. Children don't have to have a "getting to know you" conversation; they just jump right in to being friends with one another!
