End of Year Giving
Here at Faithful Friends our volunteer mentors commit to investing 1-2 hours a week with their mentees. That’s only 1% of the hours in a week and it might not sound like much. But the difference it makes in the lives of the boys and girls who look forward to their special time with their adult friend is beyond words.
Through our website and email list we’ve continued to share encouraging stories highlighted in our Mentor Spotlight series. Up near St. Johns, Sue Bartz was matched with an energetic girl who has already seen a lot of challenges in life. Her mom shared via text that
Scott Edinger, pastor at Journey Church in Sherwood, began meeting with his mentee Liam in the fall of 2022. Like many kids we serve, Liam does not have many male role models in his life. When our blog post went live, Liam’s mom Tonya read it aloud to Liam...
Liam’s mom continues by saying:
We believe the Holy Spirit uses each and every one of our mentors to bring peace, love and acceptance to every mentee and to their home situations, whatever they may be. That 1% commitment of time transforms supernaturally into a 100% difference.
During this season of gratitude, will you provide a financial gift so we can find more mentors for kids like *Karis and Liam? Please also consider joining our Faithful Giving Crew by becoming a monthly giving partner. Your gift of any size is an irreplaceable part of the work we do here at our “mighty little non-profit!”
Thank you in advance for your support! Your generosity empowers mentor relationships that transform lives. We are forever grateful for your prayers and your gifts that nurture these powerful friendships.
