The CCDA in Portland

Earlier this year some of our staff had a chance to enjoy listening to several local ministry leaders who are connected to the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA). Doing community development work can be disheartening and tiring, and while there are some wins to celebrate the road is long and hard. Having other followers of Jesus from various backgrounds who understand and can sympathize can go a long way in encouraging those involved in this kind of labor of love.

The CCDA “is a network of Christians committed to seeing people and communities experience God’s shalom” [who] believe that God wants to restore a right relationship between us, our families and our communities – spiritually, emotionally, physically, economically and socially.”

This year the conference is coming to Portland and we invite you to check out what is on offer. We’ll be there enjoying the company of many others sharing about our joys and challenges, worshipping and hearing from the Word of God, and meeting people from all over doing Kingdom work.

We are excited to also be sharing as part of a panel discussion at Jubilee Hall on Wednesday Oct 2 at 12:30pm.
