The Work of Mentoring is Never Finished (2/10)

"Also, after school we try to maximize fun because, well...balance!"

After two years of showing up every week, Michelle and David saw that remote learning presented a new need for their mentee - so they started incorporating time each Friday to help him with online schooling.

Being able to get out of his apartment, just for one day a week, and go somewhere that feels all his own has made a big impact. In a time when we're all searching for rhythm, these Fridays at his mentor's house provides just that. They guide and encourage him through his class material, and then they share a meal together to celebrate his hard work (usually pizza or SuperDeluxe 🍕🍔❤️).

As we navigate through this year's unique challenges, we see mentors stepping up in new ways. Sometimes, you adjust to fill in where you see there's a need because the work of mentoring is never finished.
