As we continue looking at qualities of good friendship, we share the story of one of our most recent matches.

Luke and his wife Jaci were matched with an energetic young man whose roots stretch across the ocean to Sierra Leone, West Africa. 🇸🇱

Luke demonstrated some pretty serious thoughtfulness by learning an impressive amount of Krio from some online resources.

When they met with *Musa and his mom for the first time, Luke shocked us all, especially Musa’s mom who was more than a little excited to hear a non African speaking Krio.

(Don’t worry… we don’t expect our mentors to learn new languages, but they are welcome to try if they want!) 😁
