Friendship: Trust

"I did it! I’m so happy I just want to cuss so bad right now!"

Trust is a critical component of a healthy friendship. Kids are naturally trusting but sometimes things happen in their lives that result in them not trusting adults.

One of our mentors, Melanie, took on the role of teaching her mentee how to ride a bike this summer. This was only their second outing together and it was a very real physical illustration of trust, falling down, getting back up, and trusting your friend to not let you down.

When *Maia finally started pedaling on her own, she beamed with confidence and with a new found friendship.

We are midway through our month of sharing positive aspects of friendship. Keep following on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn or here on our blog.
